CSIRO

AMRS was commissioned by CSIRO in conjunction with the Department of the Environment to conduct a large householder survey (4,400 calls nationally on an State by urban, rural and remote sample strata) to obtain details on households usage of firewood for domestic heating.

The data collected was used to by CSIRO to establish benchmark data for input into the formulation of a White Paper on environmental issues effecting firewood consumption patterns and policies for reduction of fireplace smoke emissions.

Sample selection October 2000. Final report November 2000. AMRS research cited in CSIRO report.
