Work Experience:

Ken has extensive experience as a Marketing Manager and a Client Service Manager in the public sector and private sector. He was a statistician with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Outposted ABS Statistician to three Federal Government Departments for whom he conducted numerous industry and population surveys and ran the departments statistical systems for market research.

He was the founder and convener of the Canberra Group of the Australian Direct Marketing Association, is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management, and head of Australian Marketing & Research Services which he founded.

Since 1993 Ken has also taught in a range of Marketing, Marketing Research, Sales and Advertising related units at various Australian universities and international venues. Ken was the program leader in marketing with the ACT Enterprise Workshop, has led numerous strategic workshops and seminars and has been keynote speaker at marketing conferences.

Ken has comprehensive experience in project management and has undertaken numerous consultancies for businesses involving a broad range of commercial marketing activities. Activities include national and international market research including qualitative and quantitative attitudinal surveys including demographic and commercial activities, development of marketing plans and business plans, reviewing/auditing of marketing strategies and promotional plans, launching of businesses/products, public relations campaigns, event and sponsorship marketing, and extensive public relations and media experience in event marketing including major launches by Federal and State Ministers.

Cultural Awareness

Ken was given Cultural awareness training by a Full-Blood Aboriginal woman and supportive background to the Wallaga Lake district indigenous history by the Elders of Umburra. Ken has been to most Koorie businesses and/or centers in NSW South Coast region as part of a consultancy to employment policies within the financial sector.

Hobbies and Interests

In addition to teaching and reading text books, Ken has been a State (ACT) Junior Cricket Coach, Senior Cricket Umpire, Chairman of the ACT Cricket Judiciary, Cricket Club President, Finals Judge for Young Achievement Australia, awarded life membership to 3 clubs, key fundraiser for several charities, and developed an award-winning garden.

These days Ken is mainly involved with helping people and businesses realise their potential.
