MARKETING TIPS

by Ken Mitchell

Over the next few weeks why not theme for the GMC400 V8 car race and the Brumbies Final to attract new business or increased levels of business.

Large businesses traditionally purchase a large space in the corporate boxes and take many clients.   Similarly small mum and dad businesses can buy some GMC400 tickets as “sponsorship” for as little as $495 a ticket and either take their key clients or use the tickets in sales promotions to give away to some lucky shopper (or staff member).      Each ticket entitles the holder to 3 days admission, reserved grandstand seating, with drinks and food included.   Invite some of your key clients (and their families) to join you in a family day at the V8 event.   For example 2 tickets gets you and 3 of your clients to the event (a different client each day) – fantastic value.   Remember businesses do not buy your products and services – people do - so reward them and increase the value of the business relationship at the same time.   Sponsorship is tax-deductible making it even more affordable.

Other opportunities available include simple and low cost on-course public announcements and value for money print and radio Official Packages with radio 104.7 and CityNews.

For both the V8 event and the Brumbies get into the off-field fun and action with some banners, flags, posters, in the shop/office, etc.  Lots of promotional material is available free from City Heart (insert phone No ) to dress up and theme Canberra for the event.
